Free stuff. For friends.

A private community where good things are free for the taking. Browse what neighbors set out, arrange a pickup, and enjoy something new. And when you've got too much, give a few things a second life. No money, no marketplace.

No invitation code?

You can still come in. A few open seats are offered each day, and an admin looks new arrivals over. If the seats are gone, the waitlist saves you one.

Why this exists

Come for the catalog. Neighbors set out good things they no longer need, you browse what's nearby, claim what catches your eye, and take it home for free. No money changes hands, and nobody is trying to sell you anything.

Behind that is a simple goal. Reduce waste and create abundance while simplifying our lives, by connecting people who have excess goods with others who are looking for them, and keeping good things out of landfills and off thrift-store shelves.

Then, when your own things pile up in closets, in garages, in that corner of the spare room you try not to look at, complete the circle and give a few of them a second life. The only rule is that every offer is free and appropriate.

What makes it different

Invitation first

Most people here were welcomed in by someone who already trusts the space, and anyone who arrives without an invitation is looked over by an admin.

No money, no sellers

Everything is free. Nobody is trying to upsell you. It's just giving.

Nearby, not nationwide

Browse and sort by what's actually close to you. Local by design.

Reputation and trust

Thumbs-up from real handoffs, and flagging tools to keep things honest.

A trusted community

Little Free Pile is private, and invitations come first. Most members arrive with a code from someone already here, which means they were welcomed in by a person who trusts the space. The few who join without one each day are looked over by an admin before they settle in.

This isn't an anonymous marketplace. It's a circle of real people sharing with people they know, or people their friends know. That trust is what makes it work. Reporting tools are built in if something feels off.
